Sounds kind of complicated. I guess I'd better just get used to right clicking and opening up in a new tab myself then.

The XHTML 1.0 standard is very strict (even the transitional coding). So, to adhere their standards mean that you can't dictate where (ie: tabs or windows) a new page/link will open.

The expectation is that the viewer will control how/where pages/links are displayed by altering their browser options.

It's a serious pain in the ass. :stink:
