New Slade Website

A place for Sladists to share their thoughts on Michael Slade and his work...

Postby Slade » Sun Jan 16, 2011 6:50 pm

The story behind BURNT BONES is now up at the Slade Website:

Again, thanks to PohlSE, with touchups by MM.

We're into the homestretch. Just HANGMAN and expanding RED SNOW to go.

Ladies and gents, I love how well the site has come together, it really looks amazing! A lot of hard work went into it, and it really shows. I miss spending time here; I wish that there were more hours available in the day for me to read posts. One day I'll explain to the newest addition to our household (and future Sladist... she loves to be read to already) just how exciting it is to dive into a new Michael Slade book... or even pick up an old favorite.

I want you all to know that I really do miss hanging out until the wee hours of the morning, straining my eyes to read post after post. I hope that 2011 finds you all well, and I'm sorry I haven't stopped by to say hello sooner. This previous political season saw a lot of topics and characters, and I wanted badly to read all of you weighing in on the VERY heated 2010 campaigns.

Looking forward to conversing with you all very soon,
TB

Sladists,

This has now been posted at the Slade Website (push the NOVELS button on the Menu Bar):

http://www.specialx.net/specialxdotnet/novels.html

That's the short "tabloid" version of Slade's 14 novels. By clicking on the background link in each segment, you get the longer "broadsheet" version in the MORGUE.

The HOME page focuses on RED SNOW, which is now out in paperback in Canada:

http://www.specialx.net/index.html

The NEWS page has been updated with Slade's 2011 appearance events, and the 10th Severed Foot and the terrorist threat to the 2014 Sochi, Russia Winter Olympics have been added to "And You Thought History Was Boring."

Again, kudos to PohlSE (and MM).

Usually I just skim through reviews/blurbs and they are quickly forgotten but this one caught my eye:

"Literary bungee-jumping with Agatha Christie's bastard son." - The Georgia Straight

Ever thought of putting that on a t-shirt, Slade? I thought that was kinda cool.

"Agatha Christie's bastard son."
I wish the media would report more on public service and charity news instead of gossip. It is of much greater value. - Jackie Chan

EZ,

That quote and "The thinking man's Texas Chainsaw Massacre" are my all-time favorite comments on Slade's work.

Just one more addition to come - oh and future novels too be added when they are written. I am sure you are excited to see all your 14 written and released books outlined here on your site.

Can't wait for more novels to be written for us to feast our eyes and brains on the stories you conjure up with our favorite characters (new/old/injured/etc).
