Hello Jay,

Might there be a new book in the near future?

Or are you busy getting all your repertoire updated to the new direction of converting your hard novels to soft novels?

Seems the world of Slade has slowed to a halt as as fan awaiting release of thrilling new material of your characters.

Anxiously awaiting a rebirth of the Slade universe.

It's been over 4 years now. The last one came out just before the 2010 Olympics.

We can only hope the fires have been stoked and the old thinking cap is fitted in place. I am sure there are many a blank pages before the minds of Slade, be it one or two, that contribute to the master pieces that we have all come to appreciate.

Just uncertain, how much more of the past being converted to modern standards occupies our duo before we can all appreciate their creative vision for our RCMP.

Again hoping sooner than later, but wowsers it has been 4 years already. Gosh! Has it been that long. Apparently so, as I have moved twice since I last read a page of Slade words on the local transit full of Spanish Gold and Olympic Winter Rings!

We need more stories! I can only appreciate the moments of a dog taking a "bite" out of crime so long. And there is a need for our maniacal villain to bestow some more havoc on his foes.

Sorry Jay, but the wolves have beset your door and we all quite hungry!

Not sure if someone posted this elsewhere (since it is a year and a half old), but here's an interesting article about the OP. Hopefully it won't be long before we see this in print.

Jay - might there be hopes of a new novel this decade? Sorry to sound harsh but man I have been itching for a new Special X novel far too long now. 5 years feels as bad as waiting for the new TOOL Album or even Metallica.

I'm sure the wait will be worth it. But then again I will read that book so fast it will hopefully not be another years after. Oh the days of discovering a new book every year or so.

I truly do wonder how John Sandford churns out 2-3 books a year. How does he do it? Albeit, his stories aren't as riveting as yours are.

And yet the clock continues to go tick tock tick tock and never the chime rings.
