I don't care if it was worth 1 million dollars *insert Dr. Evil pinky to mouth here* I wouldn't sell it :)

Hello, Slade,

I was wondering if you ever make any appearances in California? If so when will you be back this way and how close will you be to Bakersfield? It would be an honor to meet you and to have you sign your novels that I own.

jmount,

I've been there several times, and I'll be back, though I don't know when. I always sign at Dark Delicacies in Burbank.

That's good to hear. Is there anywhere on the SpecialX.net main site that has an itinerary of your appearances? If I find out when you are coming to California soon enough I can get the time off from work to come see you.

In my SWASTIKA misprint the pages count from 1 (well, the 1 isn't actually printed on page 1) to 226, then go back to page 215 and count up to page 238, then go back to page 227 and count to the end at page 426.

Yours has another section duplicated?

I have a feeling that some of the copies that were meant to be pulped by the publisher were actually just resold as remainders. I've been seeing a fair number of the misprints showing up lately.

I have the same feeling e_taylor. After buying my copy as a remainder, when it was the only 1st edition misprint, amongst over a dozen remainder copies being sold at the Chapters store here at that time, more remainders showed up at the store when those were sold out, and most of them were 1st edition misprint copies. Over all, the store must have gotten at least 3 or 4 batches of remainders in, and the subsequent batches were almost all 1st edition misprints.

Methinks that the misprints are not such a rare commodity anymore.

Shhhhh! I think comparatively they are still fairly rare, but nowhere near as rare as first thought.

For instance, a signed copy of the misprint would be VERY rare, as most copies would have been signed around the time of publication, in the 2nd printing copies.

Wait a second the misprinted copies are rare? My library has one where multaple sections are added for a second time and in the wrong sequence.

Thats correct.

Generally misprints hold no extra value, but in this case the misprinted copies are the true 1st editions and most were pulped.
