EZ,

The story behind CRUCIFIED is now underway in the MORGUE drawer at the Slade Website:

Like a serial, it will develop over the next few weeks.

It's not yet finished, but here's a good-sized chunk of the story behind CRUCIFIED:

The story behind CRUCIFIED is now complete:

Mbwun, you'll find Steely's work near the end. It fits nicely. I hope he's smiling.

I hope so too.

To use a word that he often used when we were talking online ...

"NICE!" :D

Looks like the mass market paperback is due out June 30th. I like to have the small sized paperbacks for my reading copies, so I pre-ordered a copy! If the cover that Chapters have on their website is accurate it looks like another cool one.

Whoa, Sladists! You know the rules. No giving away the ending of a book. Folks come here who haven't read the novel yet. It's called a "spoiler" for a concrete reason. So I've asked the Admins to delete the thread. Also, if there's already a thread on a subject, that's where a post should go. If not, we'll end up with 10,000 threads and won't be able to find anything on the Board.

I love enthusiasm, but Order must be maintained.

Thanks for that Slade. Luckily I have't been around much lately.
I finally got Crucified a couple of weeks back, it seems to be be geting harder and more expensive to get your hands on Slade in the UK again. I remember I had to order Death's Door and Bed Of Nails in hardback from amazon.ca as I couldn't get them over here at all at the time.
Anyway, I finished the other 3 books I had on the go at the same time at the weekend and started Crucified on Monday. Bloody good stuff as always, just have the last 20 or so pages to go, so going to be at a loss later tonight.

Well, it's not a Halifax Bomber, but I thought you'd like this Slade.

It was 25 years ago today that the worst air disaster in Canadian history occurred:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrow_Air_Flight_1285

And that reminded me of the air disaster that claimed Slade's father's life:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans-Cana ... Flight_810

The 9th of this month marked the 54th anniversary of that crash.

I've still got all the newspaper articles that were printed in The Vancouver Sun 4 years ago about the crash, and once I've figured out how to use the scanning capabilities of the printer they gave me with my new computer, I'll send some scans of them to PohlSE for posting here to the website.

PohlSE, if you're around, I've left you a PM.

I've got those newspaper articles scanned now. If you can let me know what your e-mail address is, I'll send them to you.
