So what are reading these days?

Sladists are media maniacs...I mean lovers. Movies, Books, Music & Sports are all here.

Slade, my friend . . . are you familiar with an author by the name of Geoffrey Abbott?? It states on the flyleaf of the back cover that he "served for many ears as a Yeoman Warder at the Tower of London. Author of nineteen books and contributor to the Encyclopaedia Britannica, he has made numerous television appearances."

I'm currently reading EXECUTION - the Guillotine, the Pendulum, the Thousand Cuts, the Spanish Donkey, and 66 Other Ways of Putting Someone to Death.

From the examples he gives . . . I think Val McDermid must have had him in mind when writing some of her books . . .

Anyway I have ordered a few of his other books that I could find . . . quite interesting.

Read a book called 'I forgive you daddy'...i cringe sometimes when i shout at my little girl but the things that this girl went through, dear me and she FORGAVE her father...

Reading IT...hefty book indeed but it does draw you into it's 'world', also having what i call a 'Poirot' syndrome, imagining Tim Curry speaking like Pennywise

Found a book club edition copy of this at a thrift store last week:

Really great selection of vintage short stories in it. The excerpt from the VARNEY THE VAMPIRE series of Penny Dreadfuls has got me wanting to read it in its entirety. Which I could do here if it didn't bother me so much to read large amounts of text off the computer screen:

Whether the stories are good or not, I must say that the cover looks pretty cool.

Stephen King 11/22/63 - hardcover, so when that big book gets too heavy for my little paws to hold any longer  - I'm switching to Queen Unseen (Peter Hince) Queen biography which I just put on my Kobo.

I never used to be able to read more than 1 book at a time, but for some reason I've been doing that lately.
