The SpecialX.Net Forum rules

Civilized society requires rules. The following rules are standard for congenial behavior on the Internet. They apply to this Forum:

1. Flaming will not be tolerated on these forums. Any posts containing personal attacks will be edited.

2. Spam will not be welcome. If you are thinking of creating threads or posts for advertising purposes without permission, be aware that your post(s) will be deleted and your account banned. Advertising via your signature is also not permitted.

3. Users are encouraged to create topics in the appropriate forums. Comments or threads in poor taste may be edited or deleted at the discretion of an Administrator.

4. Refrain from using an URL as a username. Handles such as http://www.hacktheworld.com or http://www.freestuff.com will be deleted automatically. Usernames that are racist, derogatory or otherwise deemed inappropriate will also be deleted.

5. Respect all copyright laws. Always credit original sources and refrain from posting material you are not legally allowed to distribute.

6. Please be sure to keep your email address up to date. In the event an Administrator should need to contact you, a working email ensures the communication can occur. After registering for the first time, you will receive an email with a link that must be clicked before you will be able to post on these forums.

7. The Administrators are here to ensure order in the forums. If you are contacted via PM or email by an Admin concerning board conduct or any other rule infringement consider it a warning. Warnings are simply reminders of the rules for these forums. Multiple warnings may end up in a ban of the user in question.

8. Please refrain from revealing spoilers in your posts. These can be major plot points or whodunits. If you are revealing a spoiler about a film or book please use a large red font to warn readers of an impending spoiler (i.e.
Spoiler Alert) so that they may skip your post.

9. If you have any questions regarding these rules or any other forum matters, please contact a board Administrator via private message (PM).

10. These rules may be updated in the future. It is the responsibility of the forum users to understand and heed them.
