Well, will wonders never cease, they're actually plowing our road. Some of the neighbours who've lived here for many years have told us that, in all the time they've lived here they've never had a plow come down the road when it snowed.

Maybe it's a Christmas present from the new mayor. Sometimes good things happen when you throw a good-for-nothing mayor out of office.

No coal in our stockings this year, I guess. :wink:

Here's a good Christmas story. I'll post several versions, in case some are taken down.

Two horses were abandoned on a B.C. mountain and got stranded in high snow. Because of their poor physical shape, they couldn't be lifted out. So volunteers braved -35 C temperatures for seven days to shovel a trench a kilometer long to get them out:
