That is pretty funny ... sad, but funny.

Made me think of this off topic clip:

Evan Adams, the actor playing Thomas on the right of the screen, is now a doctor who works out of St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver.

Here's a modern case that mirrors Christie. Living among the remains:

More about the Norway killer..

The most he can get is 21 years, unless they charge him under terrorism laws... then it is 30..

The lawyer defending Anders Behring Breivik, who admits carrying out Friday's mass killings in Norway, says his client is probably insane.

Well, this is going to be no great loss to the world:

Amen to that. From another article:

"If Olson has no money and no will his burial will be provided at public expense, including burial clothing and the installation of a grave marker"

Oh, right. And we can't just bury him at sea like they did with bin Laden? I suspect there are those who would also make a shrine of Olson's grave.

I suspect he would be buried in his hospital gown or some similiar accoutrements as provided by Dept of Corrections. Then I assume he will be buried in a grave with an anonymous marker so that the chances of outraged citizens breaking into the cemetary and disturbing the rest of the folks buried around him would be minimized. I expect a great many people would like a chance to spit on his grave.

That too. I recall someone (probably very famous, and you will all be ashamed of me for not remembering his name) being buried encased in cement, so no one would be able to dig up his body. Quietly tossing a body off the side of a boat would serve the same purpose, and save some space in the graveyard (I'm Scottish. I can't help the economical thinking).
Either way, he'll be finally doing some good, feeding the scavengers of sea and soil. It's an interesting question, though, the proper treatment of criminal remains.
