Kim Rossmo is givin'em hell over what happened prior to 2000. I can *barely* contain my excitement to hear Biddlecombe's testimony next month. Positively giddy about it.

I still have a huge crush on Kim Rossmo. And I don't care who knows it.

Starra beat me to the punch. I was just going to link to the Sun article. I'm fairly encouraged by the quality of the comments in the Vancouver Sun piece.

Rossmo was just shown on the Global news morning program. 30 seconds worth though. Still, I hope the media gives widespread coverage of all the early warnings that his superiors ignored. The consequences of their ineptitude and institutional shortsightedness for Pickton's victims were tragic.

I vaguely remember reading some years ago that unbeknownst to the general public there is always, or at least near enough always, at least 3 or 4 serial killers at work that nobody knows about, was this just twaddle ?

I have often thought numerous times that what are people REALLY like that we pass in the street day to day...

I was reminded today of our own "famous" psycho, detailed in the above link, he must have been a lovely fellow i don't think

I even remember a programme that was made and shown on BBC1 around the time, my ex - girlfriend's uncle was one of the people interviewed in the programme.

Last night, I had dinner with Kim Rossmo, before he leaves Vancouver today for Texas.

As you can imagine, his cross-examination by around 15 lawyers was tense:

He asked me to thank those of you who posted above for giving him support - which he read - in the thick of it.

This quote, I think, is important:

"This is a newspaper story," replied Rossmo. "You're acting like police departments are always truthful with the media."

Of course someone might say something different publicly. To just take someone's word from a newspaper article and not consider what was said privately, to those that matter, seems ridiculous.

Was Rossmo in trouble over this? I don't see why unless some are just playing favorites. When it comes to investigations the truth should matter more than hiding failure.

First i have heard of this but has it been proven that he was right, that there actually was a serial killer at work ?

I wonder how many crimes of this ilk have the sense of brushed under the carpet syndrome similar to this case. I realise it isn't always an easy job capturing these psychos but cock - ups obviously do not help through human error, i mean look at the Yorkshire ripper, he was in custody around three times was it before they realised who or indeed what he was.
