Forum style choices

Postby raasnio » Sat Apr 16, 2005 2:13 am

Fellow Sladists,

I know everyone loves the new forums. Should any of you wish to play around with the way the forums look to you, here's what to do:

1. Click Profile (or Edit Profile)

2. Scroll down to Board style.

3. Select a different template/style from the drop down box.

4. Scroll down further and click Submit at the bottom.

You can do this until you have found a look that pleases you. :D

I can't take all the credit. :)

Eric deserves the credit for editing the templates to look right. No matter which style you choose, you'll always know you're on SpecialX.Net Forums. 8)

Thanks Raasnio for the little how-to guide.

I think the templates offer nice options if you already have a "darker" monitor as I have and dark on dark is just plain...too dark. In that case, you'd better go with a light-colored template. However, if you have a "bright" monitor like those new lcd and plasma ones, dark colors are easier to work with.

I think it would be interesting to know which Board Style each person has chosen to use here.

I'm using the bsrf style that was initially here when this present board was installed. I looked at the rest, and decided I liked this one best.

I don't know if my monitor is classified as a "darker" monitor as raasnio has described. My monitor is a 19" Samsung SyncMaster 955DF.

What that means for it, I know not.

Mbwun - I am also using "bsrf". The same one that annoyed me to no end when the boards changed. But I am used to it now :) I still can't distinguish the scrolling bars from the rest of the window, so those arrows sure come in handy.

I updated the board styles. Go to your control panel-->Board Preferences-->Board style.
