Postby Presea » Sun Sep 18, 2005 4:23 am

Which actors/actresses do you think would be best suited to play characters from slades books? Slade, who would you pick? im intrested to hear who anyone would choose to play :

Zinc Chandler
Robert DeClercq
Donella
Nick Craven
Kat
Mephisto - my personal favourite
Jenna Bond
Gill Macbeth
Mad Dog Rabidowski
Katherine Spann
etc.

As for myself, I'm still mulling it over.

I think the DeClerques child to be woudl be best if it were the girl from Remembering the Titans. Fiesty and yet quite intelligent

I'm thinking that if you gave her a pair of blue contact lenses, former Overhaulin' hostess Courtney Hansen would make a good Jenna Bond.

Agreed! She suits it well. I'm really intrested to find an actress and actor that can portray the sheer sexuality and evil of donella and mephisto. I would personally love to see someone as devastatingly handsome (pure sex appeal) like keanu reeves play mephisto, but hes just not evil enough. Donella's a mystery.

Alright, here is something up my alley...(by the way i like your loggin Presea..Magick Knights?)...without revealing yet all my personal choices wich i've compiled for a looong time, and i know many will scream and pull their hair..but each was chosen carefully and with certain aspects and for an appetizer i will leave one for now

Robert Declercq........Christopher Walken...(2nd choice was Jean Reno)
those of you who do not know Jean Reno he is a French actor who is fully bilingual..does his own voice dubbing on english movies (Crimson Rivers)

Oh yeah, Chris Walken, one of my favourites! And Jean Reno? An actor with quite a bit of character. Loved him in everything from The Professional to Wasabi. Apparently he's currently in some DaVinci movie or something...

Well if you're looking for someone like Keanu Reeves' evil twin to play Mephisto may I suggest Jonathan Rhys-Meyers:

He's a far better actor than Keanu Reeves, having played an extraordinary range of characters - from Steerpike in the BBC production of Mervyn Peake's Gormenghast to Elvis Presley in a recent biopic.

Like my brother once said, Keanu Reeves is a good actor until he opens his mouth.

Mbwun,

You have a definite eye for casting.

I think you've got the essence of the characters down pat.

Thanks Slade,

Tautriadelta,

Although I think that Christopher Walken is a very good actor, I fear that his attempts at a French accent would be - well - BAD!

And even though Jean Reno is one of my favourite actors, I kind of think that his body build is too massive for Robert DeClercq. But how about Reno's co-star in Crimson Rivers, Mr. Monica Bellucci - Vincent Cassel - for the role? At 6'2", and with his acting ability, I think he could pull it off quite well. And as for the accent, he's French, what could be better than that?

a little aging makeup should do the trick.

And I still hold by the suggestion I made on the old message board that Clancy Brown would make for a great Zinc Chandler.

Remember Lisa Eilbacher from Beverly Hills Cop?

I think she'd be about the right age to play Gill MacBeth...

Love Clancy Brown as an actor...but he comes across as so sinister after his roles in Highlander and Carnivale...I suppose it could work, eh?

mmm Mbwun, what are you a psychic ??..Vincent was in my top 3 (as he also does his own dubbing in Crimson) but ya i never thought of the aging make-up...that would work... Clancy Brown...as Zinc i kinda see it but his physique is hardly of a man who grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan lifting hay and such...but hey maybe they can beef him up a bit thru prostethics....I'm at work now and i can't remember who i penned as Zinc so i'll get back...but until then how about Stan Kirsh as a Rusty Lewis..(p.s. speaking of mr and mrs Bellucci have you seen Irreversible..a movie they did together?)
later
