Special "X" Wallpaper

A place for Sladists to share their thoughts on Michael Slade and his work...

Great to see you back so soon Mbwun!

You've just got to join in on the wallpaper action, don't make us beg! :)

Judy,

I am envious of the revolving wallpaper, that'd be a lot of fun. I wonder if there is any equivalent of this for Windows...

Google time! :)

Is the image size okay for your screen, Judy? Let me know if you need it bigger.

PohlSE wrote:TBLightning,

I'll go grab those pictures and cut the background out of them and post them as .GIFs so you, or anyone else who needs transparencies for that matter, can grab them. The one thing that photoshop is really great for is transparencies.

On a black background the Slade one will look good again, and they will all blend in better.

They all might look a bit strange if you put them on white. :)

Many thanks for those, PohlSE. I'll work on utilizing them later tonight if I can free up some time.

In the meantime I'll provide everyone with this, which is a variation on the basic black background that I did last night:

I've got a few ideas that I'm bouncing around my head. More to come soon.

To all the incredibly talented artists, I can only say you've blown me away. I cannot wait to see the newer ones coming. Eric, if I may, I think we may need to organize a seperate "Special X Wallpaper" section. You guys just knock me out.

Ok, this one was a pain in the posterior, but I love obscure references:

Steelclaw,

I like the neon skulls, that's a cool idea. It reminded of Andy Warhol a little bit! :)

Nonsense :!: :!: I've liked all of your ideas! It's just the mechanics of the program you're using that you have to get used to.

When you get in there to create something make the new canvas at size at least 800 width and 600 height (pixels) or larger... Then you can scale it down later. It can make the processing time a bit slower, but it gives you plenty of breathing room, so to speak.

Thanks PohlSE! I would join you in the wallpaper action, but all I've got is Paint and I don't think that I would be able to do very much with it. But thanks for the invite.

And as you've probably noticed, I've changed my avatar, but just until October 31. It goes back the Gothic Lady on November 1.

Hope you don't mind me using something similar to your new one. I found this whilst websurfing and couldn't resist.
