Thanks, krista, your own striking contributions inspired this one...

...and here, at last (and mercifully), is the end of the line:

End of the line!

Whaddaya mean "end of the line?"

You're just building up a head of steam.

Enough of the wildcat strike.

Back to the drawing board.

Here's one inspired by slyragz, whose haiku appears:

In some ways it's no fun if you have to explain it, but as we're thinking across cultures here perhaps it's worth mentioning that the Japanese read from the top right, then down in columns, right to left. The kanji at upper right is Death. Also, the cherry blossom, or ohka, has relevance.

This is probably inappropriate as hell in this forum, but as I was scrolling through the wallpapers for KAMIKAZE, all I could think of was the old Cheech and Chong routine:

"Honorable Kamikaze Pilots! Today, you are about to embark on a most dangerous mission! You will take your plane High up into the sky, and bring it Down, fast! Killing yourselves, but honorably. Now, before we have the Ceremonial Sacrifice, any questions? Hai, Sakimoto, in the back."

Honorbale General Sir?

"Hai!"

Have you lost YOUR F***ING MIND?!?!?!?

Makes me stop and think....what, if anything, could or would I so completely believe in that I would be willing to end my life for the possibility of taking another's.

That'd be me, in other words, in the back.

This has been long in the planning and creation but I finally put my mind on track so I could finish it:

PoulSE,

For the record, the title KAMIKAZE will be spelled with an "E" not not "I" at the end.

Oops!

I fixed it... here is the new URL:

Silly mistake, I had it written down in front of me but typed it wrong anyway.
